Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in the South-East to recruit for a Head of Contracts on a 6-month interim basis.
RoleSummary.
- Lead, develop and manage the Contracts team ensuring continuous development
- Lead the post–contract award function, ensuring robust contract and supplier management practices
- Oversee and improve contract management frameworks, processes, and compliance
- Lead and support contract audits, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in contract performance, value for money, and risk mitigation
- Act as a senior supplier-facing lead, managing strategic supplier relationships and resolving escalations
- Provide leadership within a matrix reporting structure, supporting and influencing professional teams across the organisation
Key skills required;
- Senior leadership experience in Contract Management
- Strong stakeholder/supplier management skills
- Public or private sector experience with a focus on supplier management
- Management experience
