Management Accountant
Castlefield Recruitment are working with a leading, Barnsley based organisation, to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The organisation offers a range of personal development opportunities and would suit a self motivated candidate who can work both independently and as part of a team.
The role:
· Maintain and update the fixed asset register in accordance with financial policies and relevant accounting standards.
· Process all capital expenditure transactions,ensuring correct categorisation and reconciliation to the general ledger.
· Prepare monthly and year‑end depreciation journals and reconcile associated control accounts.
· Monitor capital project spending and provide regular reports to the CFO and capital budget holders.
· Support preparation of capital investment proposals.
The person:
· Part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) or be a strong QBE
· Experience in maintaining a fixed asset register
· A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
