Procurement Category Specialist
Central London (1 day per week onsite)

Castlefield are currently working with a large Public Sector organisation to recruit a newly created Procurement Category Specialist role to join their team on a permanent basis.
Duties will include:
- Lead on sourcing strategies and advise procurement teams and stakeholders of the best route to market to meet their objectives
- Provide advice to senior managers, holding a detailed understanding of EU and UK Procurement Law
- Support the development and delivery of sourcing strategies, carry out tender and supplier contracting initiatives and use specialist analytical techniques and software to support the delivery of cash savings
- Develop strong customer / stakeholder relationships to meet customer requirements
- Manage pre-procurement activity, select suppliers to participate in Requests for Quotation and manage tender returns and evaluation
The successful candidate will:
- Previous Public Sector experience is essential
- Experience of sourcing including tender process from initial scoping to contract award
- Experience of E-tendering systems (Atamis would be ideal) but Bravo and Pro-contract also advantageous
- Ability to draft documentation
- Strong working knowledge of PA23 and previous experience of PCR2015
