Duration: Permanent

Salary: £64,000 - £71,000 per annum + excellent Public Sector benefits

Working Pattern: Hybrid working (on-site presence would be required 3 days a week maximum)

Castlefield Recruitment are currently partnering with a Public Sector organisation with offices across North London to recruit a Senior Category Manager on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate from either the Public or Private sector with strong end to end procurement capability.

‍

Role Summary;

• Responsible for full ‘end to end’ tendering across the Professional Services category area – A real mixture across Technology, Legal, Recruitment and HR  
• Oversee a Category Manager and a Senior Buyer
• Implement a category management strategy and support the management of key supplier relationships to deliver cost reduction and service improvements
• Identify projects and develop work plans and cost improvement programmes on an annual basis with regular reviews and updates throughout the year to deliver the agreed CIP targets
• Lead the negotiation and completion of the most complex/complicated contracts within the category to support the category strategy
• Deliver a co-ordinated workplan across the Trust, ensuring procurement best practice is fully represented and best value achieved at all levels
• Provide advice and support to the Divisional Management Teams on service design and provision
• Produce regular capacity and performance reports to present to the Head/Assistant Director of Procurement

Key Skills Required;

• Previous line management experience would be highly advantageous
• Experience in either the Public or Private Sector
• Must have a background in Procurement and managing contracts within a regulated environment
