Stoke-on-Trent City Council is undergoing an ambitious transformation, driving innovation across services and investing in the city’s future.

The Senior Finance Business Partner post will work within a commercially focused team to provide financial advice and support across dedicated directorates and transformational projects across the Council. Responsibilities include;

• Working proactively with Directorate Management Teams and stakeholders in the financial governance and control of the Directorate to achieve strategic objectives
• Business partnering with Directorate Management Team to provide financial and commercial advice on strategic and operational matters to support decision-making
• Supporting and informing the overall Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) for the Council as an integral element of the overall financial strategy
• Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement, looking to add value within a first-class business partnering service
• Leadership and development of Directorate Finance Team

The successful candidate;

• CCAB/CIMA qualified Finance professional with evidence of continuing personal development
• Proven business partnering approach with a track record of developing influential working relationships at strategic level
• Strong management skillset with the ability to ensure an excellent finance service to directorates
