Castlefield are thrilled to be partnering with an established provider to support in the provision of a new General Sonographer, This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and motivated Sonographer to work as part of a thriving team, playing a key role in delivering outstanding patient care
Duties
- Perform a range of ultrasound examinations independently, including obstetric, transvaginal, abdominal, and general medical scans
- Provide accurate written reports and liaise effectively with clinicians to support patient management
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
- Participate in interventional procedures and support foetal medicine clinics.
- Contribute to departmental quality assurance, audit, and the training of student and trainee sonographers
- Support continuous improvement through protocol development and service innovation
Essential Requirements:
- Diploma or BSc in Radiography (or equivalent) and HCPC registration
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical/Diagnostic Ultrasound (CASE accredited)
- Proven experience in independent ultrasound reporting across core specialisms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey sensitive information with empathy
- Commitment to professional development and maintaining high clinical standards
- Experience using CRIS, PACS, and other clinical systems
