Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Procurement Officer for a Public Sector organisation in Manchester. The role offers great benefits including remote/hybrid working, enhanced pension contributions and flexi-time.
The Role:
- Support the Category Managers with end-to-end procurement projects
- Responsible for sourcing and negotiating terms with suppliers
- Manage procurement contracts
- Administer tender documentation
- Support and assist with the development of category strategies
- Communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Assist with the reporting on procurement spend and efficiencies achieved for contracts awarded
- Cover projects across various categories
The Person:
- Knowledge of Public Contract Regulations 2015 / PA 2023
- Experience in the Public Sector
- CIPS qualified, or willing to work towards
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Commercially aware
- Analytical
- Verbal and written communication skills
