Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting an Interim Operations Director for a Supported Housing and Care Charity based in York, on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. The salary is £65,000 per annum, and office/site attendance is required roughly 3 days per week.
The role:
· Provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation’s supported housing and care services
· Ensurefull compliance with CQC standards and other relevant regulatory frameworks
· Lead preparation for inspections and respond to inspection findings
· Work closely with the CEO and Board to ensure strong governance arrangements
· Maintain oversight of organisational risk, including operational, regulatory, and reputational risks
· Work with finance colleagues to manage budgets, control costs, and improve financial sustainability
What you need:
· Significant senior leadership experience in supported housing, social care, or a related sector
· In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards
· Strong understanding of governance frameworks within charities or regulated services
· Financial acumen, including budget oversight and performance management
· Strong grasp of safeguarding, risk management, and compliance
