Client:
Castlefield are working with an organisation in Leeds as they look to recruit a personable Contracts Officer to join their Procurement team. This role offers hybrid working. This role is suitable for someone with extensive procurement knowledge in a FM setting.
Duties will include:
• Provide procurement support for strategic initiatives
• Support Category Managers in delivering a strategic category management approach across key areas of organisational expenditure, helping to drive value, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Manage designated procurement sub-categories under the guidance of Category Managers, undertaking detailed spend, supplier, market, and organisational analysis to support the development and implementation of effective category strategies.
• Work collaboratively with Category Working Groups and stakeholders to develop and implement category plans and strategic sourcing initiatives that align with organisational goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including collaborative purchasing organisations and supply partners, to identify opportunities for joint working, maximise value, and support the delivery of strategic procurement objectives.
• Represent the organisation in relevant networks, forums, and stakeholder groups, promoting best practice and sharing knowledge to enhance procurement outcomes.
• Gather information, conduct research, analyse data, and prepare reports
• Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
The successful candidate will:
• Procurement experience is required
• Experience of managing and delivering procurement related processes and activities
• A strong background in procurement, with a proactive mindset, willing to come in and hit the ground running
• An FM/ construction background is essential
