CommunityHealth Partnerships (CHP) is a Department of Health and Social Care-ownedorganisation responsible for managing public sector investment in healthcareinfrastructure. Working at the heart of the NHS estate, CHP plays a criticalrole in delivering high-quality, sustainable facilities through stronggovernance, strategic partnerships, and effective asset management.
Role:
CHP is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead their procurement function andprovide professional, effective procurement advice and guidance to the widerbusiness. You will have a high degree of autonomy within CHP, managing a smallteam of procurement professionals and engaging senior stakeholders to ensureprocurement activity is delivered compliantly and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully deliver CHP’s procurement strategy and achieve other key deliverables
- Act as the subject matter expert for procurement, ensuring projects are completed in line with relevant legislation
- Oversee compliance, procurement procedure, commercial advice and modelling projects
- Ensure compliance with legislation, achieve value for money
- Achieve value for money objectives and empower departmental teams to manage tactical purchasing activities
- Develop and implement new procurement policies and procedures
- Lead, support and manage the procurement team acting as key escalation point
- Maintain effective relationships with all relevant stakeholders and senior leadership team
- Manage capacity and reporting
- Maintain a project pipeline
- Represent CHP at national forums
Person Specification:
- MCIPS qualified with relevant senior experience
- Working knowledge of PA2023 and PCR2015
- Experience in the Public Sector
- Managing complex procurements
- Budget responsibility
- Data analysis experience
- Experience managing procurements within a changing business environment
