Financial Accountant | Public Sector | West Yorkshire | Hybrid and Flexible Working
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a reputable public sector organisation in West Yorkshire to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for leading and developing a small team, and plays a key role in providing a comprehensive and professional technical accounting service to the Corporate Management Team and wider organisation.
Responsibilities will include;
• Leading on the delivery of a robust financial management and reporting service for the organisation
• Leading on monthly balance sheet reporting
• Driving improvement within the financial control environment and identify and report on risks and opportunities
• Ownership of fixed assets accounting and reporting process
• Ensuring statutory accounts are prepared accurately an on time in line with regulatory requirements
The person;
• CCAB/CIMA qualified, with a strong technical accounting skillset
• Ability to build relationships at senior level
• Strong system and Excel skills
