Castlefield Recruitment are working with an excellent public sector organisation in Gloucester who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to their busy and dynamic team on a permanent basis to support growth in the team. The role offers hybrid working, and other great benefits.
Duties:
- Lead on monthly accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and trend analysis
- Provide a robust timely relevant financial information to budget holders and assist them to understand their spend
- Support year‑end processes, liaise with auditors
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable information
- Challenge assumptions, improve reporting tools, and strengthen financial controls along the way
Experience:
- Experience working in a similar role and great analytical skills ideally within the public sector
- Advanced excel skills is essential
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Extremely organised with great written and verbal communication skills
